Written vs Blacks and Books
Calvin Reid at PW wrote an article about Written, the newspaper supplement launched in early 2006 that covers African American Books. The article noted the competition from the recently launched Blacks and Books. Read the NYT article about the launch here. Currently, Written is bimonthly and distributed in four newspapers.
Michelle Gipson, the founder of Written, believes "there's plenty of room for everybody." Hmm, is that true? Are there that many African American newspapers to go around? Perhaps, I don't know the numbers.

Thank you for including Written's PW article in your blog. Written began in Feb of this year, prior to Blacks and Books entering the market. If you looked at the offerings we are two very distinct publications.
Written's goal is to celebrate the reader and to celebrate the word. We are a lifestyle publication that reviews anything with a Written component. I would be more than happy to send you are 6 issues and anyone else who reads your blog so that they can evaluate for themselves.
And to answer your question, there are over 120 African American owned newspapers in the country -plenty for everyone.
Please keep up the great dialogue!

One has to understand the importance of interpreting the god's clues.

The gods will never allow black people's self-acceptance of the perception of "lowly nigger", and it's a bad sign. It means they will never permit "black power" to be reversed fully.
"Lowly nigger" is an advantage for blacks, especially the men, ONE THE GODS DON'T WANT THEM TO HAVE BWECAUSE OF THEIR GROSS DISFAVOR AND WOULD RECIND/NEGATE IF POSSIBLE!!!! Perhaps by maintaining that "black power" dynamic I addressed above they eliminate this advantage.
"Lowly nigger" isn't a white man's term. It's god's term. It's gods liquor stores poisoning your community. It's god's media poisoning your minds.
